COVID-19 was starting to ramp up before we flew to Florida in the Fall of 2020. By February of 2021, the vaccines for COVID became available. After two failed attempts we were able to get both shots of the Pfizer vaccine. We were planning to go back to Missouri around May first of 2021. The first of April, I went online to book our airfare but found there were no flights, none, the airlines were shutting down. The last nonstop flight to Kansas City was April 7th. We had one week to say our goodbyes, pack up, and close down the Florida home.
